Esco Feeds produce 2025 Royal Champion steer on the hoof

The 2025 Royal Fat Stock Show Champion of the Yard was a Droughtmaster-type steer produced by Dino Raciti of Esco Feeds in Estcourt.

The Royal Agricultural Society warmly congratulates Dino Raciti of Esco Feeds for his outstanding achievements at the Royal Fat Stock Show and Carcass Competition’s on-the-hoof beef judging at Lions River Sale Yard on Saturday.

Dino’s animals excelled, securing first place in the Under 530kg class, second place in the Best Group of 4 (Under 530kg), and the prestigious Royal Show Champion Animal on the Hoof 2025, for his Droughtmaster-type steer.

Thanks go to RPO KZN and AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers for their assistance in making this event a success, and SAFJA senior judge Andrew Adams and assistant judge Andrew Unsworth for their professionalism and informative explanations on the day.

The full results of the Royal Fat Stock Show on-the-hoof judging are available here.

The results of the carcass judging will be announced later this week, after judging by Chris Ngeleza of SAMIC at Halaal Fresh Meats Abattoir in Thornville.

The Royal Fat Stock Show remains a proud showcase of agricultural heritage, community spirit, and forward-looking excellence. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another memorable event.
