The Royal Show welcomes Boer Goat, Savanna and Kalahari Red breeders to Tweedie Hall on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 for a dedicated day of breed competition and interbreed honours.
Bringing together three of South Africa’s important meat-goat breeds, these regional shows will provide a focused platform for breeders to present quality stud animals, compare breeding progress and compete under specialist judging.

Specialist judges will assess the Boer Goats, Savannas and Kalahari Reds according to their respective breed standards, recognising the careful selection, breeding and preparation behind quality stud stock.

The leading champions from the Boer Goat, Savanna and Kalahari Red shows will compete against one another for the Royal Show’s coveted Gold Cup honours — an important recognition of excellence in the show ring and a highlight of the Royal livestock programme.
