2026 ROYAL FAT STOCK SHOW
& ROYAL CARCASS COMPETITION
CALL FOR ENTRIES
The Royal Agricultural Society is delighted to announce the return of the prestigious Royal Fat Stock Show and Royal Carcass Competition as part of the 175th anniversary Royal Show, taking place at Tweedie Hall from 7–11 October 2026.
A highlight of the agricultural calendar, these events bring together some of the finest sheep and cattle from across the country, showcasing excellence in livestock production both on-the-hoof and on-the-hook. Entries will be evaluated by respected industry bodies, with judging by SAFJA and carcass evaluation by SAMIC, before culminating in the highly anticipated Royal Carcass Auction and Awards event.
Now is the time for producers to begin preparing their top sheep and cattle for the opportunity to compete for supreme Royal honours. Categories will include lamb and beef classes, super lamb and ox classes, as well as the always highly competitive group classes.
The Royal Fat Stock Show and Royal Carcass Competition have long been regarded as pinnacle events within the Royal Show programme, attracting discerning buyers, industry leaders and media attention. Following previous success and strong auction prices, the Society looks forward to another outstanding showcase of quality livestock in 2026.
We look forward to welcoming producers, buyers and supporters to Tweedie Hall for an exceptional 2026 Royal Fat Stock Show and Royal Carcass Competition.
