The 2026 Royal Show takes place from Wednesday, 7 October to Sunday, 11 October 2026.

The 2026 Royal Show will be held at the Royal Showgrounds at Tweedie, Howick, on the Royal Agricultural Society's Tweedie property.
Please note that the public Showgrounds are separate from Tweedie Hall itself. Detailed directions to the correct public entrance and parking areas will be published before the Show.

Some livestock competitions, demonstrations, performances and other activities take place only on particular days and at particular times, so please check the latest programme when planning your visit.

No. Some exhibitions and attractions will be available throughout the Show, while competitions, judging, demonstrations, performances and other activities take place at scheduled times.

Yes. Food and refreshment vendors will be available within the Royal Showgrounds, with more information on the Show's food offerings to be added as details are confirmed.

No. Visitors may not bring alcohol onto the Royal Showgrounds.

The Showgrounds are supplied by an untreated farm water system, so water from these taps and water points should not be used for drinking.
Drinking water will be available from vendors within the Showgrounds.

Ablution facilities will be provided around the Showgrounds, including accessible ablutions and a baby-changing facility.

Yes. A visitor map showing the main Show areas, attractions and facilities will be published online before the Show. Maps and directional signage will also be available at the Showgrounds.

The Royal Show is a working agricultural event, with livestock and other working animals moving through parts of the Showgrounds.
Please follow signs and instructions from Show officials, keep clear of restricted areas and animal routes, and supervise young children carefully. Livestock and working animals must always be given right of way.

Yes. Certain livestock, competition, demonstration and operational areas may be restricted to authorised personnel, exhibitors or competitors.
