ES Ile de France shine in group classes on the hoof
The Royal Agricultural Society warmly congratulates Ebrahim Sheik's ES Ile de France Stud in Hammarsdale for their achievements at the Royal Fat Stock Show and Carcass Competition’s on-the-hoof lamb judging at the Lions River Sale Yard yesterday.
Sheik’s Ile de France lambs secured second place in the Junior Group (Under 45kg) and first place in the Senior Group (45–55kg), testament to his stud’s commitment to superior breeding standards.
At the 2024 Royal Carcass Competition and Auction, Sheik won Second Reserve Champion Lamb Carcass on Show, which sold at the Royal Carcass Auction for R500/kg.
The Royal Agricultural Society extends sincere appreciation to Ebrahim Sheik for his loyal support of the Royal over recent years.
We also wish to thank RPO KZN and AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers for their assistance in making this event a success, and SAFJA senior judge Andrew Adams and assistant judge Jonathan Tyler for their professionalism and informative explanations on the day.
The full results of the Royal Fat Stock Show on-the-hoof judging are available here.
The results of the carcass judging will be announced later this week, after judging by Chris Ngeleza of SAMIC at Halaal Fresh Meats Abattoir in Thornville.
The Royal Fat Stock Show remains a proud showcase of agricultural heritage, community spirit, and forward-looking excellence. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another memorable event.
