EXHIBITOR

AWARDS

The Royal Show Exhibitor Awards recognise the effort, creativity and excellence that exhibitors bring to the Show each year.

Exhibits are assessed by appointed judges across a range of criteria, with medallions, trophies and special awards presented to outstanding displays across the Show.

Two new awards will be introduced in 2026: Best KhakiBush Bull Pen Exhibitor and Best Farmer’s Weekly Royal Pavilion Exhibitor. Further details, including the judging criteria for these awards, will be added shortly.

We encourage all exhibitors to make the most of their space and to create an engaging, professional display that reflects both their own brand and the spirit of the 2026 Royal Show.

Medallions

●      Gold Medallions
Awarded to exhibits achieving an overall score of 80% or above.

●      Silver Medallions
Awarded to exhibits achieving an overall score of 70–79%.

Floating Trophies and Special Awards

●      The Royal Commercial Floating Trophy
Presented for the best and most outstanding display in an exhibition hall.

●      The Royal Industrial Floating Trophy
Presented for the best and most outstanding display in an individual building.

●      The Hulamin Floating Trophy
Presented for the best and most outstanding display on an open site.

●      The WesBank Trophy
Presented for the most outstanding motor industry display.

●      The David Wing Trophy
Presented for the best display of light-duty agricultural equipment.

●      The Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Commerce Agriquip Floating Trophy
Presented for the best display of heavy-duty agricultural equipment.

●      The RAS Materials Handling and Construction Equipment Trophy
Awarded for the best and most outstanding display of materials-handling and construction equipment, including heavy-duty forestry machinery.

●      The Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Commerce and Industries Floating Trophy
Awarded to the exhibitor with the best South African industrial display.

●      The Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business Trophy
Awarded to a small-business exhibitor.

●      Die Pietermaritzburg Sakekamer Shield
Awarded for the best display by an exhibitor who has not previously exhibited at the Royal Agricultural Exhibition.

●      The Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Commerce and Industries Award
Presented for the most outstanding trade exhibit by a private-sector member based in the greater Pietermaritzburg area. The exhibit should promote the exhibitor’s products or services, as well as the prosperity and/or development of the greater Pietermaritzburg area.

●      The Royal Agricultural Society Government Trophy
Awarded for the best display by a government department.

●      The Telkom Customer Care Trophy
Awarded to the exhibitor providing the highest standard of customer care and service, judged by the warmth and helpfulness of staff, their knowledge and ability to deal with queries, and the availability of relevant information.

●      The Royal Agricultural Society Trophy
Awarded for special endeavour.

●      The President’s Trophy
Awarded for special endeavour.
