Royal Poultry Show forms part of the first R.A.S. Heritage Events

The Royal Poultry Show takes place at Tweedie Hall, Howick, from 29–31 May 2026, as one of the first events presented under the new R.A.S. Heritage Events banner.

Hosted by the Natal and Coast Poultry Club and supported by the Royal Agricultural Society, the event celebrates the skill, dedication and careful breeding work of poultry exhibitors.

Poultry showing has long been an important part of agricultural show culture. From breed standards and presentation to judging and public viewing, events of this nature help preserve knowledge, encourage responsible breeding, and give both exhibitors and visitors an opportunity to appreciate the diversity and quality of poultry breeds.

The Royal Poultry Show will be open for public viewing at selected times over the weekend. Visitors will be able to view the birds on display and support the exhibitors who continue to keep this specialised section of the agricultural community active and visible.

Public viewing times are:

29 May
Viewing: 14h00–17h00

30 May
Viewing: 08h00–17h00

31 May
Prize Giving: 12h00
Viewing: 08h00–12h00

The Royal Poultry Show is a standalone R.A.S. Heritage Event. The full Royal Agricultural Show, the Society’s annual flagship event, takes place from 7–11 October 2026.
