The Royal Agricultural Society warmly congratulates Duncan Watson of JOC Angus and Brangus Stud for an extraordinary performance at the 2025 Royal Fat Stock Show and Carcass Competition’s on-the-hoof beef judging at Lions River Sale Yard on Saturday.
Watson’s animals dominated, securing first, second, and third in the Under 470kg class, second and third in the Under 530kg class, first and third in the Over 530kg (Super Ox) class, and first and third in the Best Group of 4 (Under 530kg).
Most notably, Watson earned the prestigious Royal Show Reserve Champion Animal on the Hoof 2025, for a black Brangus.
Russell Watson accepted the multiple awards on behalf of his son. The Royal Agricultural Society would like to extend special thanks to the Watson family for their fierce support of the Royal over many years.
Thanks also go to RPO KZN and AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers for their assistance in making this event a success, and SAFJA senior judge Andrew Adams and assistant judge Andrew Unsworth for their professionalism and informative explanations on the day.
