Royal Tea Garden at Tweedie Hall
On a bright, sunny December 16, the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) opened its beautiful new home at the historic Tweedie Hall in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands with a warm public welcome to the Royal Tea Garden.
Visitors were able to step inside the historic hall to view some of the Society’s trophies, photographs and stories spanning 175 years, wander the beautiful grounds with their sweeping views, and settle on the veranda for something delicious from Nova of N-Squared Bakery.
As part of its 175th anniversary celebratory year, the RAS is inviting visitors to its Royal Tea Garden every Tuesday, from 9 am – 1 pm.
There’s no charge to visit the grounds or view the evolving historical displays — simply come for a cup of tea or coffee, a quiet walk, and good company. Bring family, friends or just yourself.
Everyone is warmly welcome!
