The Royal Agricultural Show has a new venue!

The 2026 Royal Agricultural Show will take place at the historic Tweedie Hall in Howick.

Wayne Muller, General Manager of the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) in KwaZulu-Natal, today confirmed the date and venue of the 2026 Royal Agricultural Show.

This answers two of the most pressing questions being asked by followers of the Royal Agricultural Show.

“The RAS is pleased to announce that the 2026 Royal Agricultural Show will take place at Tweedie Hall in Howick,” he said, “from 29 May to 3 June, 2026.”

Tweedie Hall is a historic property in the KZN Midlands, built in 1892, and has been a function and event venue for some time. It was declared a Provincial Heritage Site in 1989.

“As a new home for the Royal Agricultural Show in 2026, we will be able to host and exhibit the best of KZN and South Africa’s agriculture and related commerce and industry," he said.

In 2024, the RAS moved from its home of 122 years in Pietermaritzburg after refocusing the Royal Show to become an agriculture-specific event.

The organisation is planning a landmark event at Tweedie Hall in 2026 to celebrate the RAS’s 175th anniversary.

Muller promised that more details will be released as arrangements progress.
