The Royal Agricultural Society warmly congratulates Mich Turner’s Wanstead Dormers on their outstanding performance at the Royal Fat Stock Show and Carcass Competition’s on-the-hoof lamb judging at the Lions River Sale Yard yesterday.
Wanstead’s achievements made their long trip from Cedarville well worth it, with the stud securing first and third in the Junior Group (Under 45kg), second in the Senior Group (45–55kg), first and second in the Individual Under 45kg and 45–55kg classes, and second and third in the Individual Super Lamb.
Most impressively, Wanstead Dormers claimed the awards for both the Royal Show Champion Lamb Group and Reserve Champion Lamb Group, as well as the prestigious 2025 Royal Show Champion Lamb.
The dedication to excellence shown by Mich Turner and his team is admirable.
The Royal Agricultural Society extends heartfelt thanks to Wanstead Dormers for their loyal support, to RPO KZN and AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers for their assistance in making this event a success, and to SAFJA senior judge Andrew Adams and assistant judge Jonathan Tyler for their professionalism and informative explanations on the day.

The results of the carcass judging will be announced later this week, after judging by Chris Ngeleza of SAMIC at Halaal Fresh Meats Abattoir in Thornville.
The Royal Fat Stock Show remains a proud showcase of agricultural heritage, community spirit, and forward-looking excellence. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another memorable event.
