2026 ROYAL SHEEP & GOATS

The October Royal Agricultural Show will place a strong spotlight on South Africa’s sheep and goat breeders, with a focused small stock programme that brings together breed competition, fat stock excellence, interbreed Gold Cup honours and the prestigious Royal Carcass Competition and Auction.

The Sheep and Goats section will offer breeders, judges, buyers, agricultural specialists and small stock enthusiasts a valuable opportunity to engage with some of the country’s leading genetics, carcass prospects and breed champions.

The programme will feature strong representation across both sheep and goats, with goat breeds including Boer goats, Savanna goats and Kalahari Reds. In the sheep section, regional championships will be contested for Suffolk, Dorper, Ile de France, Hampshire Down and Dormer.
