The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s award-winning stand will be back in action at this year’s Royal Show from 24 May to 2 June in Pietermaritzburg, boasting its consistently enlightening and entertaining features. The stand displays the best that the University, one of the country’s top institutions in terms of research, has to offer in its College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science.
The stand will feature displays from a range of academic disciplines in the College and is known for its interactive installations that give visitors a hands-on experience of the scientific, engineering and agricultural instruction and research that the University is known for.
Visitors can expect to meet knowledgeable student assistants who will introduce them to a range of displays and answer any questions they may have about the University. As in previous years, a variety of plants, mammals, reptiles and insects from the University’s agricultural, botanical, zoological and entomological disciplines will take up residence at the stand, enabling visitors to learn about research efforts to better understand these creatures. Visitors will see science in action through the displays, and will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from South Africa’s Premier University of African Scholarship.
