Sheep, Goat and Wool Expo

The SHEEP, GOAT AND WOOL EXPO is situated next to the Sheep Section of the Royal Show. The expo shows raw and retail products as well as the animals it derives from. Visitors will be treated to Daily workshops and demonstrations, and the arrangement of products on sale in the Expo will include, wool slippers, knitting yarns, spun wool, scarves, jerseys, handmade gifts, leather belts, toys, clothing, knee blankets, shawls, socks, mohair carpets and much more!

Don’t Miss These Demonstrations.

Highlights include sheep shearing demonstrations by the National Wool Growers Association. This will take place over the two weekends of the show. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10h00 – 16h00, every hour on the hour. BKB will handle the shearing on the second weekend of the show. Knitting, crochet, and leather workshops will take place throughout the duration of the entire show.

Take A Break At The Coffee Shop

The Expo has a delightful coffee shop and farmstall with lovely pies and baked goods for sale. Visitors can sit down and enjoy the interactive area. Fresh lamb will be for sale. The full- and half lamb boxes will be packed in easy to carry boxes.

See The Goats

The KZN Indigenous Veld Goat and Sheep Club proudly represents the Indigenous Veld Goat Breeders Society of SA (IVGSA). On Friday 3 June and Saturday, 4 June, the club will be hosting an IVGSA Junior Selector’s Course. The course will be held in the Sheep Section of the Royal Show.

The Agricultural Research Council stand will be represented by the Animal Production unit that is based in Irene, with several satellite stations strategically positioned throughout the country.
