The Annual Royal Show introduces a new concert to their line-up this year, The Vuma FM Royal Gospel Concert. With a superb line-up of local artists including Tender Mavundla, Thulani Ga Ndlela, Brenda Mtambo and Khaya Mthethwa, this is certain to be a magnificent performance.

The line-up opens with Tender Mavundla who won SABC 1’s Jam Alley Megastar Competition.   She made top 4 of Idols competition and is now in demand as a motivational speaker. In 2009 Tender released her debut solo Afro-Pop/Afro Soul album ‘Tender Moments’.

Well known as a worship leader at Ethekwini Community Church and programme director for different gospel events in KZN, Thulani Ga Ndlela studied music at the Technikon Natal, now DUT. His arrangement for Israel Mosehla’s album ‘Crown Him Lord’, released in March 2011, has enjoyed strong airplay on stations like Vuma FM, Ukhozi FM, Gagasi G99.5, Highway Radio, Izwi Lomzans and SABC 1.

No local gospel events would be complete without the powerful voice and undeniable presence Brenda Mtambo. As part of the ‘Joyous Celebration’ family, in which she was a soloist and a songwriter, Brenda has enjoyed a career which has taken her to many different platforms. Brenda has worked with an array of amazing artists. “All I want to do is sing music that will speak to my soul, your soul and everybody’s soul. Welcome to my world” says Brenda Mtambo.

Khaya Mthethwa, also known as The PK (The Pastors Kid), completes the line -up. Singer-songwriter, musician, composer, arranger, and the multi-instrumentalist, he is best known for winning Idols South Africa (Season 8).

Born and raised in Durban KwaZulu-Natal Khaya grew up in a church environment. His father Bhekithemba Mthethwa is a minister at the Umlazi Oasis Fellowship Centre. Billed as one of the most talented and versatile artists that South Africa has ever produced, he is a self-taught musician who has also established himself as an accomplished song-writer, including penning many of the songs in his debut album “For You”.
